Growing up on Long Island, as one of ten children Shannon has been active her entire life. In high school she played three varsity sports; basketball, soccer and lacrosse. Lacrosse was her passion and realizing her dream to play division 1 Shannon played college lacrosse at Boston University. Unfortunately her college lacrosse career was cut short following an injury. She transferred to Hofstra University and earned her degree.
The first time Shannon walked into a Crossfit box she knew that she had found what she was looking for. The amazing Invasion community and the humbling workouts filled the void left by not competing as an athlete. The atmosphere of the box is always positive and electric.
Shannon is currently working towards her advanced degree in physical therapy and pursuing Olympic weightlifting as a competitor and instructor.
Shannon believes that every person should know what it feels like to be strong and powerful. Her goal as a coach is to help people discover that strength within themselves. She feels honored to be able to witness the moment a person realizes that they are stronger than they thought they were.
